NIXIE: a different dimension of life on board

A large yacht reveals itself through a day on board: breakfast overlooking the water, time alone, a swim and an evening together. Those moments give its spaces meaning. NIXIE invites a conversation that goes beyond length and towards how guests would like to live at sea.

A world debut in Monaco

Lürssen announces NIXIE’s global debut at the September 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, scheduled for 23–26 September. The 102.4-metre yacht, designed by RWD, was delivered in June. The forthcoming event is her show presentation, not a new delivery. Lürssen · Official show dates and fleet.

For a visitor, the presentation offers a reason to consider the spaces that matter during a stay at sea. Scale makes an impression; the ability to gather, find privacy and spend time with others deserves equal attention.

Architecture shaped around a stay

The shipyard highlights a semi-suspended glass swimming pool, a beach club, wellness facilities and diesel-electric propulsion. Edmiston, which announced its appointment as exclusive central charter agent, describes accommodation for up to twelve guests across ten cabins, with additional arrangements for supernumeraries. Permitted capacity for a specific trip must be confirmed. Lürssen presentation · Edmiston announcement, 30 June 2026.

These features make layouts as interesting as photographs. Where will guests meet? Which spaces suit a quiet conversation? How will swimming, meals and movement between decks fit together? Such questions help compare superyachts beyond their appearance.

The ABJ perspective
Before selecting a yacht, picture your ideal day on board. The spaces you need become easier to identify, and the itinerary can follow the way you enjoy travelling.

Choose around the people travelling

A family holiday, a trip with friends and a reception need different arrangements. Explain the composition of the group, cabin preferences, mobility needs and preferred pace. One guest may want to explore ashore while another would rather stay on board. Both expectations belong in the brief.

Dining deserves the same care. Rather than asking only for a gastronomic experience, describe your habits: leisurely lunches, more formal dinners, children’s mealtimes or dietary preferences. Those details provide a practical starting point for the team preparing the stay.

A private cruise also begins ashore

For a yacht charter enquiry, provide dates, cruising area, guest numbers and budget. Separate essential stops from places you would like to explore. The possibilities can then be assessed against the yacht’s position, navigation conditions and a workable schedule.

Request a clear account of included costs, additional expenses and booking terms. A charter rate alone does not describe the whole stay. Guest arrivals, transfers and any nights ashore are part of the planning too.

Shape your own time at sea
