Three addresses in the top 50
In its announcement dated 23 September 2026, LVMH confirms six Belmond hotels across The 50 Best Hotels ranking and its extended list. Rio’s Copacabana Palace is No. 29, Cape Town’s Mount Nelson No. 34 and Maroma on the Riviera Maya No. 47. Hotel das Cataratas, Splendido and Palacio Nazarenas appear in the 51–100 selection.
Choose the journey before the ranking
These results are an introduction, rather than a ready-made itinerary. A city break, time by the sea and a trip with several stops each call for a different approach. Before comparing rooms, consider the role of the hotel: will it be the focus of the holiday, or somewhere to return to between days of discovery?
The right hotel for your plans
Travelling as a couple might mean making more time to enjoy the property itself. For a family, straightforward transfers and a comfortable daily rhythm may matter more. Rankings help identify interesting hotels; travel dates, companions and personal preferences determine which one makes sense for your stay.
